Flores, Chynna Clugston (1975 - )
American comic book creator
Flores is an Eisner and Harvey Award-nominated creator who has been active in the comic book industry since 1994 working for such prolific publishers as Oni Press, Dark Horse, Marvel Comics, DC Comics and several digital comics as an editor, inker, penciller, writer, colorist, letterer and cover artist.
Flores is best known for her manga-influenced teen comedy Blue Monday (beginning 2000 with Oni Press, but appearing briefly in Action Girl Comics, Dark Horse Presents and Oni Double Feature) and Scooter Girl (2003, Oni Press). Both of her comic creations recieved a re-release from Image comics in 2016-2017.
While working for DC Comics, Flores was an assistant editor for their imprint, CMX Manga, an assistant editor for DC Comics' Wildstorm division, and DC Comics working on various licensed and Johnny DC titles, editing Looney Tunes, co-editing Tiny Titans, as well as several digital comics.
More recently, she has worked on various projects including writing the Lumberjanes/Gotham Academy crossover for BOOM! and DC, art and writing duties on a short Deadpool story for Marvel, art for DC'S Young Animal's Shade the changing girl, and published work in various anthologies, such as the successful Kickstarter projects Hey, Amateur! and Insider Art.
